Job overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced hardware test engineer to act as a liaison with our customer and the suppliers. A hardware test engineer should possess a strong background in communication knowledge and with expertise making hardware testing/debug following up product development and maintenance as well as provide test report for Automotive products specifically in LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi/BT, Cockpit technologies. This role will perform test case/tool development, test campaign execution for hardware validation/debug and working with 3rd Party to deliver validation service both for R&D new product development and maintenance following up the project schedule and provide customer test support on request.
Key responsibilities:
- Hardware test for all new product developed and product maintenance and provide test report / customer report on time with good quality.
- Working with Project Manager, Customer PM, Hardware and Quality team to create test strategy and working process, plan test resource and budget; define test plan and schedule, build up test campaign and provide test
- Assign test task to internal test engineer or 3rd Party, monitor validation progress, provide technical support, risk and quality control following quality requirement.
- Working with hardware test manager, test engineer and automation development team to create test case and develop automation script and platform to improve test efficiency
- Provide validation support to customer and other R&D teams such as FAE, AE, sales, product manager, hardware etc.
- Thoroughly understanding the customer’s needs and rationalizing their RFQ requirements to ensure alignment with the company’s product performance.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing activities and share with colleagues within the team by writing documents or providing internal training.
Required qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma graduate, preferably in Communication Engineering and acceptable in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in testing of communication products or development of hardware or professional certified laboratory hardware testing a
- Good knowledge of GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/LTE/5G/TCP/IP/GPS/Wi-Fi/BT Radio Frequency protocol specification/standards.
- Well understand Automotive product reliability quality and test standards, such as AECQ-104, JESD22-A105, IEC60068 etc.
- Proficient in the operation and utilization of spectrum analyzer, oscilloscopes, power supplies, network analyzer, and integrated meters.
- Previous experience with test automation and generating test plan, create test cases, set test environment and project management.
- Solid computer skill including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel.
- Good organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills, self-motivated and achievement oriented, while excelling in a dynamic multi-tasking fast paced environment, experience in coordinating work with 2-4 other team members.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in providing important services to major clients.
- Prior experience in developing automated testing for communication instruments.
- Hardware development for wireless product is preferred.
