Norbert Muhrer

CEO

Norbert Muhrer took leadership of Wireless Mobility on June 1, 2025.

From 2017 until May 2025, he held key roles at Quectel, first as Senior Vice President of Sales and later as President and Chief Sales Officer. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in transforming Quectel into a global leader in cellular modules, driving exceptional international growth and market leadership across all regions.

Prior to Quectel, Norbert served as Senior Vice President of the IoT Business Unit at the Gemalto Group (later acquired by Thales), where he oversaw the integration of Cinterion following its acquisition in 2010. During this time, Norbert and his team expanded its market share, diversified the global R&D footprint, and expanded worldwide production capabilities.

Before that, Norbert was CEO of Cinterion Wireless Modules, which he successfully spun off from Siemens and established as an independent company. He began his career at Siemens in Munich in 1985 as a telecommunications planning engineer. Over the years, he gained extensive international management experience through multi-year assignments in the United States, Asia, and China.

Norbert holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Science from Salzburg, Austria.
